Fabrication and Characterization of Aluminum (Al-6061) Matrix Composite Reinforced with Waste Glass for Engineering Applications

Aluminum composites with various reinforcement materials are widely applicable in advanced engineering due to their better strength weight ratio, stiffness, and high thermal conductivity as well excellent wear corrosion properties. This stimulates curiosity study aluminum metal matrix composite reinforced waste glass improve its mechanical physical The specimens were prepared using stir-casting rout by varying percentage of reinforcing powder from 0% 30%. fabricated samples characterized universal testing machine, FTIR, DSC, TGA, optical microscope. results revealed that the particle content increased matrix, there was a significant enhancement properties like hardness tensile compared pristine sample. microstructural analyzed microscope show good bonding between reinforcements indicates particulates uniformly distributed Al-6061 matrix. All all, effect clearly observed it enhances mechanical, physical, newly aluminum-based materials.
